Who wants to make the commitment with me?

To read through the Bible and the Catechism in one year?  I have been purposing to do this for,... well forever.  I just found this handy chart at Classical Liberal Arts Academy, and now I have no more excuse.

  1. Oh, I am interested, is there a place online to get the cathecism? I'll have to google that. We don't have one here. I don't know if I'll get all days done (starting my Consecration to Mary on the 8th), but it is something I would like to do.

  4. I just did day two. Did you want to have some way for us to be accountable? or just keep it to ourselves? Asking because I do tons better at sticking with things if I'm accountable to someone besides me :).

  5. I'll be accountable with you! I did my readings at Adoration last night through day 2, with the exception of the Catechism I didn't bring with me, so I will double that tonight.

  6. Trying again :), sorry if it does actually double post.

Cool, accountablity is good! So helpful for me anyhow :). Do you want to check in daily/weekly? Sorry for all the questions! I got today's done. I have been doing it all online, found both the Douay Rheims and the catechism online, so I have the three readings and the catechism opened in tabs so I can read as the day goes.

  7. How about we check in weekly, say on Saturdays? That way if I have a particularly crazy day, I have a chance to catch up. We can then talk about anything in the readings that jumped out at us. I will finish up (I am behind on Catechism, lol) and post later.

  8. I hope you don't mind. I've copy and pasted the reading list onto my blog at http://rnad.wordpress.com/ I'm going to add a page on it for my reflections & comments. That will fire me up to stay on track with my commitment. I am behind on Catechism as well!
Fascinating stuff! The fourteen generations between Abraham and David, David and the Babylonian exile to the Messiah. Fourteen is the numerical value of the Hebrew letters forming the name of David. I'm hooked:)
