tbj's new car

That he has driven for the last month or so, every time we were in court that week and the last two times at Kidsafe.  Each time he has had dealer plates on, so the support enforcement people cannot track him.  Seeing as how he has just had a foreclosure (my house) and a repossession (of the old Hyundai with my name on it which is oddly enough parked in front of his apartment building to this day), he most assuredly did not get a car loan for this brand-new vehicle he is tooling around in and laughing out of the window of.  So where did he get $20 grand?  From the child support he has not paid in three years.

On my way to court this morning, which once again was FOR NOTHING, as I was driving in 100 degree weather with no air conditioning, and a driver's-side window which wouldn't go down for 2/3 of the drive (it does that), I did not hold my breath nor get my hopes up.  Which was a good thing, I was not disappointed.  Another wasted $20 on gas, another wasted four hours, for what was supposed to be a private hearing on fake checks, child support modification, $75,000 in owed money, and the fact he has a new car and hasn't produced a pay stub in over a year.  There were 200 people waiting for the Magistrate, which was not the usual one, and the prosecutor wasn't even there.   Tbj was, however, and he had to go wait in line to be interviewed after the hour-long dissertion on DNA and support rights they give every single time.  So I left.

I took the long way to my car and strolled the other parking lot to his.  Lo and behold, there it was in all of its shining new glory and wearing its dealer plates.  It just goes to show that deceit and dishonesty do suck some brain cells from you.  There on the floor of the back seat were the real plates, right-side-up no less:
960 XFE.  So there you go, Susan, there's where your money, and more importantly, mine has gone.

Just think, tbj has to unscrew and rescrew two sets of plates every time he goes to court or kidsafe.  That's the most energy he's expended our whole marriage, except for the times he was making the kids he later abandoned.

  3. OK Reliance House, how do you know the expiration date? And do you not know my rules about anonymous comments?

  4. Can you have a lien put on the car? Seize it to be sold to pay childsupport? Just trying to be creative here.

  5. Now dealer plates expire don't they? What if someone made an anonymous call to the local police dept to report expired plates. Why I just hate to think that that nice car could be towed and impounded.

  6. You need to carry your camera in your purse, so you could take photos!

I had to come back to report that the word verification for that comment was "JUDGE" - which must mean it was a good idea. But, somehow I bet it won't happen again.
